I am about to replace my brake pads and have a question about the wear indicator. I'm replacing the pads "early" because we're going on a long road trip and they're getting close to done, but the wear indicator never tripped. Should I replace the indicator anyways or just leave it? I'm not sure exactly how it works.

You can reuse as long as it hasn't tripped.

However, they are cheap and just two of them- on pass side wheels. Replace them with new is a good practice.
