Help tailgate issue!!!
Hello this is my first post so go easy on me, I have a 2011 GL450 that I recently purchased and the tailgate will not latch unless all the doors are closed. If any door is open it just reopens the tailgate immediately after it closes without latching

Before you dig too deep into the diagnostics, pull the switch out of the rear hatch. It just pops out with a plastic wedge. Unplug the electrical connector on the back of it. Check the pins on the switch for corrosion. Spray the pins with some electrical contact cleaner. My wife's 2011 was doing weird things because the switch tends to collect water in the connector. Hope this helps.
