Hi, do you know what color the wire is for a 2008 C300 (W204) ?? having the same issue.. ordered the diodes.. just need the wire now

Replaced ac compressor with what was said to be compatible with GL450 but the compressor would not kick in. I was able to get it going when applying computer to the system. Realized it was not sending power to the actual compressor.

after reading though these post, I followed the instructions and added a rectifier diode and it worked like a charm. Thank you to all that freely contributed to the discussion.

I did this diode fix per instructions via this forum thread and it worked shortly for a day then no blow cold air again.

I took to mercedes mechanic who doesn't know about this modification and to see if they could figure out something and they charge 360.00 to tell me i installed diode backwards on their report but they never seen this mod
they discounted to 240.00 then on the house to make me happy
but still...
any suggestions on the aftermarket pump going out as they said i need a new pump
