2011 Gl350 - Help identify leak

The oil burner has started to drip a foreign oil, which I can't identify.
I thought it was motor oil, and the dreaded inter-cooler seal, but this is more of a heavier silverish black paste like drip that has no smell, and has the consistency of honey.

Does anyone know what it is or were it is coming from ?

Under engine? Maybe Center diff? Front diff? Only places with thick oil. Could be also engine mounts.

Find out in a hurry because if diff oil you will starve and destroy the offending diff.

From the front, it's about center left towards passenger side.

Thanks for clarifying .. Is this something that I can replace myself ?
I'm hoping it will not be more difficult than the engine mounts on my old SAAB.

What is your technical skill level? The engine does not need to come out, but it needs to come up an inch or two...

An Indy Mercedes shop should be able to offer good price-to-hassle ratio.

Technical skillset is high, and I have done all of the service on it so far myself, a,b, c, breaks, etc ...

I tried looking for instruction online, but could not find any, do you have any pointers ?

Also, shroud I just go ahead and do the left one as well, as the parts show the is a right and left .

Thanks for all of the help.

OK ... I spend an hour under the car with the plastic covers removed, and I get it now ... Still not as bad as a SAAB 95, and not really difficult, but rather lots of dismantling to get to darn things ....

I also checked the left mount, and it was blown too, so need to remedy ASAP...

From the looks of them both, it looks like, it's been in this shape for a while ...I should check down there more often, as I alway remove the oil from the dipstick, and just saw the drip on the garage floor ...

If I end up doing it, I will try to pay back the forum by taking a lot of picture, and documenting as much as I can ..

Cheers ...
