Changed Intake pipe to turbo

Had traces oil droplets.
Tracked to a leaky (seal) at the air intake to turbo.

Mechanic said the new pipe has better seal then current (old) one.
Seems the old design not as good and others had the same issue.
No choice but to change.

All good now. But it is expensive for a part which could look simpler.

Or you could just change the seal with the updated seal. Much much cheaper. Next time search the forum

That's what I thought.

Only saw the part after it was ordered.
Prior was told it needed to get a "new" seal and it came attached to the intake pipe.

I am no mechanic (bad one if I was one),
Too trusting of the workshop, but that was the closest and most convenient.
Now need to think of alternatives.

And make sure your side seal doesn't leak. It is the smaller one located on the pass side of the main seal. They are even cheaper... couple bucks

They have been posted before, and not too long ago. Just search the forum
