X164 GL enhanced off road package features
Looking for a 2011-2012 GL550. what exactly does the "enhanced off road package" include? also is it possible to retrofit it thru the dealership?

I looked into this for my 07 GL450. Your manual says what is included. In the first year, some GLs were made with it, and after that it became a special order item, I guess because no one was really interested in it.
The big component is a locking center diff (transfer case). Minor utility and difficult to retrofit is stepwise suspension lift. Skidplates, too.
Dealership retrofit would be stupendously expensive.
It's a surprisingly capable off road vehicle without the ERP.
