Gl450 on fire
Hi I like to share our experience with our 07 Gl450 the cough on fire, we are a family of 5, me and my wife have a 1 boy and 2 girls, after our regular trip to store , wen we are on our way back home we start to smell like something burning, my wife was driving at the time and I was in the back seat with our 3 month old baby , after few seconds of starting to smell I noticed smoke coming from the sides vents on the 3rd row , I told my wife to pull over and I start to take my kids out of the car , wen we get out car star on fire , no time to take stroller or car seat base , just us , call 911 by the time they show up car is already gone , the thing is car was check few weeks before for full service oil change and no check engine light and no message on this car i , call Mercedes USA and they open a case after a month they came up with this " because the car has 158k miles they can't know what exactly happen " so I'm so sad and despondent about Mercedes we buy this car thinking it was safe and my family almost die inside the car after that happens my kids are so scare of get in cars , is so despondent how this happen and I read we are not the only one the have this experience with a GL cough on fire , Mercedes hace to start to recall this vehicles from 2007 and up , if someone start a law suit for this I like to get advice thanks.

You are definitely not the first to have a GL450 catch fire. My understanding is the fires start in the battery compartment under the passenger seat. I would search the web for other reports. I would still contact an attorney irregardless of the response you got from MBUSA.
