2010 gl350 oil usage

I have a gl350 that is consuming oil at the rate of about 2 quarts per 1000 miles.
Any advice? Egr problems? It runs fantastic and no loss of power?
Thanks,
Ron

MB diesels known to consume some oil, but I would be concerned about a leak even if you do not have a puddle on the floor. would get truck on lift and have shield taken off and get a good look.

This is a lot of oil leaking. It is possible an oil cooler leak or the intake rubber rings to the turbo failing.

You should be losing about a quart in 3500-5000 miles. Your oil is going somewhere and if it is burning in the engine it will eventually plug up your dpf.

Check for external leaks behind the engine. If oil is found there it is either your turbo intake seal ($$) or intercooler seals ($$$$). If no leaks are observed and no strong smell of burnt oil is present after shutoff I would check boost levels and engine compression.

GL350 Oil Leaker
I have a 2010 GL350. At 125,000 miles it started using oil. No leaks anywhere under or around engine. I was adding a quart a week(250 miles). Took to dealer they replaced oil seals in engine $2700. After they were replaced, the car was still using a quart a week. I took it back and the dealer tested and said that one cylinder was scored and there was nothing they could do. They offered a new engine for $11,000. It has been a month and now I am adding 2 quarts a week (less than 300 miles per week). I am not sure what to do. The car runs great, no smoke, the exhaust looks clean and no oil leaks.

Any comments...would be appreciated.
