Pic of turbo tag needed

My turbo rebuilder was needing the tag to see what exact turbo was in the vehicle.

When i do the eco tune and dpf and egr delete I may have him modify the turbo for better spool and feul economy.

If anyone has a pic or detailed information on the turbo I would appreciate it. It's an 08 gl 320cdi.

Thank you

Why not use a Mercedes remanufactured turbo?

New: 642 090 63 80

Reman: 642 090 63 80 80

I have someone who has rebuilt and modified turbos for me on cars in the past who I trust.

How long do these turbos average before giving issues?

depends. i have seen them blow seals at 100k.... some at 400k still run strong.

i imagine depends on oil quality and change intervals as well as operating conditions.

Thanks,

The turbo seems to run strong. Will decide when I see what I need to remove to fix the oil leak and other preventatative maintenance. I will have mechanic check for shaft play

You don't need a mechanic. Remove intake tubing stick you fingers in there grab the impeller and check for play.
