Airmatic Compressor Stays On
My airmatic stopped working, so I replaced the relay and compressor.
The car now raises and lowers and no more malfunction message. All the airbags have been replaced but not recently and the car stays level when parked for multiple days.
However, when I raise the car, the car raises fine but the compressor seems to stay on for a very long time. I'm worried about burning it out so I've just hit the button to lower it and that turns the compressor off.
It seems like one of the compressor connectors or wires might be not making a good connection as the first time I hooked it up, it stopped working after I drove around the block I jiggled it and it worked again. I took both connectors off and cleaned them and then made sure they were firmly reseated. Waiting to see if it happens again.
Questions:
1) What's responsible for turning the pump off when the car is raised to full height?
2) Is there an easy way to test the old pump without removing the new one? It's possible the old pump is still good and it was just a wiring problem.

I used a tape measure and it seemed the front and rear are coming up even on each side.

they are the black boxes that have a plastic arm attached to the struts in the front and the arms in the rear.

I checked the height sensors and they all looked ok. They are electronic so I assume they would throw an error and there was nothing showing under STAR DAS.
The top connector for the compressor pump seems to be bad. After awhile the pump stops working and if I just jiggle the connector then it fires right back up.
