Power seat drivers side stuck on one side
My drivers side power seat was making some noise and would occasionally stop moving on the left side. I could move it up and down and jigger with it to get it going, now the left side is stuck, right side moves fine. Any suggestions?

Look for obstructions. Unseat/reseat all electrical connections.

Jigger is both a noun and a verb. More commonly a noun. But to jigger, a verb. Jerking something back and forth is jiggering.

I think if it were a switch it wouldn't move at all? I'll try disconnecting and reconnecting things.Meanwhile I am pouring a few jiggers of gin while I jigger with the problem.

Verb[edit]
jigger (third-person singular simple present jiggers, present participle jiggering, simple past and past participle jiggered)
To alter or adjust, particularly in ways not originally intended.
You'll have to jigger it from the original specifications to get it to work.
(pottery) To use a jigger.
To move, send, or drive with a jerk; to jerk; also, to drive or send over with a jerk, as a golf ball. [quotations ▼]
Exactly the word I meant for what I was doing to it

Interesting... I have never heard of jigger being used as a verb. I stand corrected! Well, truth be told, I'm actually sitting down right now...
On that, I can agree 100% the FIRST time!
Yes, it could definitely be a switch. They can get "flaky" and the contacts may not always be making a good contact ("worn out" for lack of a better term). It can be from age, or even if something spilled on them.
I don't know enough about the specifics of the seat motor wiring, but if there are relays involved with it (as opposed to the switch being directly connected to the motor), it's also possible that the relay is old/flaky, as opposed to the actual switch. It depends on how much current the motor draws (compared to wire size and switch rating) as to whether a relay is used. Someone with more in-depth knowledge will have to help with that aspect, though.

Forgot to mention, although you probably already knew this...
If you're vewy, vewy quiet (I'm huntin' wabbits) and can still hear the motor running, when the seat isn't moving, then definitely look for obstructions. If no motor noise, an obstruction won't be the culrpit.

Same issue here with the front passenger seat. It happened after I loaded a large cupboard that put quite a bit of pressure on the seat... Will check for obstructions, although I have the impression it could as well be derailed somehow.
