2011 GL450 X164. Should I use SD C3 or C4?

I've been doing some research online to get a confirmed answer for diagnostic tools for my 2011 GL450 X164. Since this is my only MB, so I would like to buy a chinese COPY of SD and do it myself to save some money.
I just wonder if this car uses UDS proxy, and should I purchase SD C3 or SD c4. I prefer C3, because 1. sounds like more stable; 2. half the price of C4.
