Higher Mileage with Records or Lower Without...
Have located a couple possibilities for a used GL450 purchase for DD and occasionally pull 5k pound trailer. Took some comments here to heart and focusing on pieces that already have hitch and wiring in place.
Found a 2012 with records of various services, but not the 30, 40, 60 and 90 services. This 2012 has around 80k on the clock and price is around $25k.
Found a very clean 2009 with recent repairs to front airmatic but no real records. This 2009 has around 83k in the clock and price is around $20k.
Found a 2009 with full records back to date of birth including the 30, 40, 60 and 90 intervals along with others between. The 2009 has around 140k on the clock and the price is around $14k.
I see merit in all three and would love the input of those in the MB-sphere.
Thanks...Peace...Away...

If I were in your shoes, I'd go with the 2012. If my memory serves me, the interior is much better than the 2009 AND so are the electronics (NAV, stereo, etc.). So unless one of the 2009 units is much, much more heavily optioned...the 2012 is the choice.

I don't disagree that the best option would probably be the 2012. Looks like that one could be slipping away from me as an option.
So...what if it was a 2009 with no real records and 80k on the clock verses a 2009 with full records and 137k on the clock?
Thanks...Peace...Shawn

Honestly these cars are extremely unreliable, read couple posts below you'll see everything from engine seizures, suspension failures, starting problems you name it ... I'd suggest best course of action would be to lease a new one and let them deal with issues...
