Cheap DIY to replace a leaking A/C line !
At the beginning of the summer, tried my A/C without luck, no cold air. After paying $200 to find the leak, the mechanic told me I have to replace the complete line from the engine to the back of the car, in order to do that, they have to remove the exhaust, the fuel tank, the transmission, etc, more that 10 hs job and they don't want to do that job, to much trouble, so he send me to the MB dealer.
The leak was inside the left rear fender cover.
At the dealer it's may be around $2500- job.
So I found a company on eBay that sells kits to cut and replace part of the line.
Paid $38- for the part, 30 min job, $20 for the freon and oil. Done!
This is the company: https://www.autocoolingsolutions.com...ne+Repair+Kits

Hi
I took my GL320 to regas the ac last week, 2 days later there was no freon left, took it back to the shop, they tried to trace all the lines, compressor and evaporator for any leaks using the dye they put in when regasing, no dye showed up anywhere.
Got them to do a nitrogen test, it held for about 20mins, then slowly started leaking.
im thinking i might have the same leak, Did your GL350 have a rear split ac system with separate evaporator etc?
Hamazz
