I have an older post on the first 225,000 miles.

The last 25,000 miles have been largely uneventful. Outside of normal maintenance there has been one repair: the return line from the fuel injector back to the fuel tank split causing a slight, but continuous diesel leak. In performing that repair the tech also discovered that an o-ring on one of the injectors had also failed, causing another small fuel leak.

At 250,000 miles the car is using a bit more oil. Consumption appears to be 1 1/2 quarts or maybe a bit more between the 10,000 mile oil changes; up from the one quart or so for the first 200,000 miles.

Fuel consumption continues to be excellent, with 26 mpg and even more found on many highway trips. Strong Kansas headwinds drop that to as little as 22 mpg when running 75 mph, or as much as 28 with that same tailwind. Overall, my average mpg must hover around 24 mpg for all the city/highway driving I do. Of course in my case that is mostly highway miles.

The body hardware - inside and out - have been a marvel. The car still looks terrific, the seats are still comfortable, and as far as I know all functions and features still work as designed.

I too had the cracking fuel return line on the top of the tank. That's a fun repair but I managed. Worst part honestly was fishing the lines from the pump side to the sending unit side. Of course the tank was full.
