How long should it take for the transmission to unlearn "I drive it like I stole it" and relearn the S.O.'s driving habit of "what's the skinny pedal for?"

She's complaining of the hard automatic downshift at 15mph and I'm dragging my feet to avoid the dealer fee to reset adaptations.

Apparently our models are reset proof. Newer ECU

Adaptation is constant, but if a completely different driver behavior is int priced it can take up to 1000 miles or thereabouts.
