Drivers Side Mirror Turn Signal

Drivers Side Mirror Turn Signal
I am getting a notification in the dash for the drivers mirror turn signal light. The problem is the light actually still works. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Is this an expensive repair or something i may be able to DIY? I found a replacement part online for 50 bucks or so just dont know how to go about replacing it and not sure if i do will it fix the error since the light is still working. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I found a UTube video that shows how to take the side mirror apart. Do a search there.
I have that fault all the time with mine. It turns out the mirror housing is broken where it is supposed to latch to the mounting bracket inside near the connector. I routinely fix it by merely pushing the whole housing in toward the center of the car. That engages the electrical connector enough so the fault goes away next time I start the car (the key must be turned off to reset the system). Buying a new housing is expensive AND requires custom painting so I make do for now.

Start by inspecting the connections from the car body to the mirror. There are multiple wires for lights and motor that are visible behind the mirror once the mirror housing is removed. Sometimes, the plug comes loose and all you need to do is push it back in. The housing comes out very easily once you disengage the locking mechanism behind the mirror glass with a flathead screwdriver.

Left turn signal led light in the mirror
Hello Guys,
Good evening! I did dismantle the side mirror and at the back of the mirror there is a conduit leading to the (LED) one black and the other one is red with strife black, the other set is two pcs. also which has black in color leading to incandescent bulb facing downward to the floor. I continue tracing the wire which supply the (LED) and I found out that two (2) pieces was broken and the two remaining is almost cut,.the wire is really brittle, ( my car is almost 10 years old, it is ML350, 2010), I did solder it to joint together and use a shrink tube and everything works fine, thank you to all of you that help me to have the idea. have a pleasant day!
