GL450. 2013 Whirring Sound

There is a whirring sound that seems to get louder at increasing speeds . It seems to come from under the hood. It’s been happening for the last 1500 miles. There are 91K miles on the vehicle.

Wanna offer more info?

Suggestion... have a knowledgeable mechanic take a look at it for you.

Check some easy things like the air intake pathway for looseness or breaks/holes.

2012 GL450

Whirring...

My 2012 GL450 did the same thing and it ended being the A/C compressor. It didn't matter if it was on or off, apparently the rotor vanes spin even when off.
