Visor mirror door fix.
MBWorld,
My wife kept complaining the door to the mirror on the passenger side would not stay up. I found an easy way to repair and captured a few pictures of the process.
Step 1: Remove visor with a torque bit and take to a clean workspace.
Step 2: Remove the mirror from the visor. This is held in by plastic pegs in a metal sheet shown below.
Step 3: Place the metal clip back into the socket as shown below and affix with whatever means you can. I plastic welded the metal clip back into place with excess plastic over the bend. I also reinforced the other side. Straighten out the metal tabs before pushing back into place. Replace visor in car and viola.
