I have a new to me 2011 GL350 with 68k miles and having a couple of strange issues.

1. The bluetooth will connect with my phone but when talking about 5 to 7 minutes into the conversation I will not longer be able to hear what the other party is saying and I get static...on the other end however they can hear me just fine. Tried IOS and android phone with same issue. Reset the command system and reset one phone to see if it would work. Still about the 5-7 min mark it goes out, there is a faint high pitch sound when this occurs.

2. The cruise control when engaged, going downhill when it attempts to slow down to maintain the current speed I get a loud high pitch whistle sound, once it levels out or is accelerating the noise is gone.

I am not sure if the two are related. The command system seems to work as designed on all other features just the bluetooth.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have the same issue with bluetooth. The BT is really terrible if you ask me.
I'm going to buy a dongle for A2DP streaming.

Cruise control issue - no idea.

Thanks for the info. I did talk to a co-worker that has a 2010 glk that her bluetooth worked great..however her suv does not have navigation as we do.

I noticed that I get another weird high pitch sound when it shifts from about 4th or 5 th gear, no cruise active, radio on but muted.

Has anyone experienced the same thing. The indy shop I have it at right now can't seem to find an issue. Called me and said they can pair multiple phones with no issues. But the pairing is not the issue, only after using it for about 5 minutes do I start having the problem.
