My keyless sensor for my GL550 (2008 model) just stopped working some weeks back. Open and locking the door has to be with the remote key.
when I press the sensor on the door handle, a continue "clicking" sound comes from inside but the doors will not lock or open.
What can I do?

When I don't have the key fob close enough to the car, and I try to unlock or lock, I hear a clicking sound. Once I'm closer, it will work just fine.

I had an issue in my X166 where it tells me that battery level is low and notification would not go away after replacing battery until I actually plug in the key to reset key with car.
I would try "resync" key to car first and see if problem continues.
