Brighter headlight Osram nightbreaker halogen

Hi, I have a 2012 GL450 and currently has the OEM Philips Xtreme vision 130%. But I am thinking of using OSRAM nightbreaker unlimited as it claims to have more light output from my research. I know we are supposed to use OEM parts but could someone let me know if it is ok to use OSRAM nightbreaker? Or it is a bad idea to use them on my GL450. Thank you!

Just go for the HID upgrade and be done with it to get some real light output.

Thank you BlownV8 for your suggestion. Is this something MB dealer has as an option or 3rd party? If you have a link to the HID part number that would be great. Thanks again!

We can help you out with an HID upgrade kit. We've worked with the forum community here to put together a custom kit that works perfectly with G/M line MBs. Error free.

All of the + halogen bulbs remain 55 watts and legal and are safe to use.

My GL with Philips +90 halogen bulbs has better high beam lighting than my CL with OE HID lighting.

HID conversions are ridiculous unless you fit Mercedes light units at $2000+ per side.

The Osrams will be no better than your Phillips.

Osram CBB are hands down the best bulbs I've ever used. I'm sure the nightbreakers are good too.

I did a full conversion from halogen to xenon on my GL450. It didn't cost $2,000. Grab some xenon headlights off eBay and you'll save tons of money and get great light output.

The conversion was with OEM Xenon assemblies.
