Oil gushing from oil cap
Hi Everyone,
My 2009 Gl 320 Bluetec started gushing oil this morning when I started it. The oil is gushing from oil cap dipstick, oil filter housing and power steering fluid is also coming out from the reservoir. Tried searching online but can't find anything even close to it. It was driving fine no problems the day before and as soon as I started it this started happening, it strarts fine RPM seems stable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

your pcv valve (aka bleeder valve) is most likely clogged and does not relieve crankcase pressure. it is a small funny looking contraption fastened to the back of the engine (pass side) with a hose going into the intake right in front of the turbo cold inlet
edit: google 6420102391 to see what it looks like. this might or might not be the correct part number (have not checked and cant right now), but the part is i want to say identical looking

i can tell you first hand, that there are many, many... did i say many om642 engines that are happily clattering with 200-300-400-500-750k miles on the odo and have been subjected to just the recommended maintenance schedule. speaking of- the article says 20k mile intervals for oil changes. that would be wrong. intervals are every 10k and the engine gets new fuel and air filters every other change.
