Suspension replacement 2012 GL450
Hi,
I have a 2012 GL450 giving me picture of air suspension up arrow saying Malfunction. Could someone suggest if you would replace failed OEM air suspension front and back with non-OEM part, e.g. Arnott or Structmaster. Arnott seems to have air suspension struct but not pure spring replacement. Structmaster on the other hand has a pure spring(non air) replacement. Is one reliability / ride quality / warranty better than the other? Roughly how much it would cost for this replacement?

Replace the airbag and strut assembly together. Don't waste your time and money just doing the airbag portion of the front strut. The Arnott struts have been more durable than the OE units.

No. Just don't.
Stay away from strut aster. Suncore or the Chinese brands. They'll leak quicker than they are worth it.
Stick with arnott or Bilstein oem shocks and struts.
Some say arnotts last longer. Some say they are not as good as oe.
Fcp euro and the arnott warranty are lifetime.

Agree with kombifan... Arnotts are the way to go. Better build than OEM and Lifetime warranty. I haven't changed my GL550 air suspension yet, but I did on my 2007 S550. The build looked way better than OEM on the w221. So far no issues.
