Keyless go wiring harness
If I bought all the sensors and the control module got keyless go, would the wiring harness already be in the car to hook up the components. Car did not come with keyless go from the factory.

It's pretty much impossible to retrofit keyless-go. It's better to just trade for one with that option...

That’s a tough one. I wouldn’t know if the harness would be there, but if it is that would be a lucky break. It usallly is because it’s more costly during production to leave it out.
Also so you’ll have to make sure your keys are also keyless go capable.
Abd again..you won’t be able to unlock the car via keyless go, you’ll only be able to start the car. Unlocking and locking the car requires the handles too.

I knew about the handles, just not about the wireing harness. I know where the module would be installed, just one panel to remove. I guess I remove it and let you guys know what I find.

Kinda seems like a lot of work for not a lot of usability, you know? I have Keyless GO and, honestly, if I didn't have it, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Yeah, it's nice to just touch the handles to unlock - and it was fun to trick/amaze my kids in the beginning with it. But it's pretty darn easy to press a button on a FOB, too. Push button start? Only VERY slightly better than just inserting a key. I guess to each his own, but it seems like a lot of money and work for extremely little gain. I'm sure that money can be put to better use somewhere else!

It's funny that you say that. When we bought my wife's BMW we didn't get the BMW equivalent (which they call 'comfort access') because it sounded like a fairly useless option. It was only like $500, but you know how options are once you start ticking boxes.
Then I bought the GL used and it had Keyless Go. A month after we had been driving the GL, pressing that damn button on the BMW fob seemed like a massive inconvenience. Maybe that's because we have little kids and we're always walking up to a car with hands full of stuff, but I can definitely see why some people consider it a must have option now.

I can get the sensors and module for $50. It will take me 5 to 10 minutes to remove the panel to see if wireing harness is there. Worth a shot I think. But like said above it is all preference. Now if you were saying the add the premium off road package, then I would say you are nuts.

No harness installed
Well I pull the panel off the the module is supposed to be install if car has keyless go. I did not see any of the connections that would go into the module, so as far as I can tell, all the cars do not have the same wiring harness installed at the factory. So if people want keyless go, they need to get the package from the factory, or find somebody who'll install everything for a lot of money.
