2012 GL 450 Has Gone Haywire. NEED HELP!!
I have a 2012 GL 450. I ran to the store parked came out and it was:
-beeping sound that won't stop no matter what you do
-won't start
-doesn't show rather cars is in park/d/neutral/reverse
-won't shift gears so can't tow it
-has power lights, cluster, radio, seats door locks work
-doesn't recognizes the key, but will go into 1 & 2 position with the push start
- SRS light is on
- warning "SRS Supplement Restraint System Malfunction"
- warning "Drive to workshop without shifting gears"
While driving to the store the all of the following light came on at the same time:
-ESP
- ESP Off
- SRS
Within a few seconds the SRS light cut off.
A little history one the truck. I purchased it in April of 2019 from a dealer. I found out from a google search it was a repo so I wasn't able to speak to the owner. The auto lift gate wouldn't work checked. Door would release but not lift checked the fuses all seemed well. When checking the pump found that is was completely rusted out. Pulled the plug in the housing so water would no longer collect and replaced the pump.
The very NEXT day I began getting the message "Blind Spot Assist Inoperative". The warning would come and go. The arrows on the mirrors would be yellow then 5 seconds later they would be working just fine. Did some research and found the the sensor in the rear on the right not to far from the lift gate pump.
Contacted Mercedes to see if there was an issue of water getting in on my make and model. I was told they had never heard off such an issue before (SIDE EYE). Checked the forums and was told it maybe an issue with the tail light seal not being install correctly from the factor.
Ordered and planned to replace the seals, then this happened. I never tested to see if water was actually coming in that way, however it has been raining NON-STOP in Michigan since getting the truck. I can only assume it was garage kept by the prior own. I parking the driveway so it's not covered.
Any help that anyone can offer would be extremely helpful and appreciated
Thank you in advance

MBWorld Fanatic!
Check front and rear sam for water intrusion. If either location is damp or wet water has usually entered the sam and caused corrosion.
Replacement is necessary at thag point.

It was the battery. I can't believe a car can go through all these changes and not simple just have a light on the dash come on and say "LOW BATTERY"!!!!

Did replacing your battery correct your issue? I have a 2012 GL450 that did the exact same thing with the lights and message. Thanks for your help.
