Battery, lift gate, suspension, wipers all gone at once.

Hello all. Out of the blue on July 5th my GL450 started giving me multiple errors. The first I noticed was that while driving I would get the red battery warning sign for 2-3 seconds and then it would go away. I was 20mi into a 150mi trip, so I turned around. Then when I got home the Tailgate wouldn’t lift or close automatically. I had to do it manually. The next day I went to the market and noticed that the suspension air pump was activating but the vehicle wasn’t lifting or dropping, the pump would run for 5 minutes and then turn off. I removed the relay so that it wouldn’t burn the pump since it’s fairly new. Lastly, it’s been raining here for the past couple of days and now I also noticed that the wipers are not working. Front and rear wipers are not working. The washer works, I also get the rear wiper indicator, but no movement.

I purchased a new battery since the first thing that happened was the red battery light. But even after the replacement battery all the previously mentioned symptoms are still present.

P.S I did notice that when I changed the battery, the compartment had about 2 inches of water inside of it. I drained it all and so far no more water, I don’t know where that water would come from. I’m guessing that this is a factor of what went wrong, but I don’t know where to start looking!

Any ideas or help will greatly be appreciated!!

Front SAM is probably fried. Either someone left a window open, bad radiator core, or a drain is plugged somewhere. I believe you will need to address the water issue and then to the dealership for a new SAM.

I wold try to remove the battery and the SAM module on this battery compartment to open it and clean with a contact cleaner or isopropil alcohol. Also, check and clean the fuses that are on the left side of the main battery battery, maybe they are oxidised.

If I was to get a new SAM, would it be plug and play, or would it need to be programmed for my vehicle?
