i have a 2007 GL450. The tabs on the back of My pax side folding mirror broke. The motor works and the glass is good. Is there any way to just get the part on the back of the glass or the glass itself?
Which specific tab (or tabs) broke? Picture will help.
I don’t know exactly cause I haven’t let it fall completely off but I would assume the one on the back of her glass. I just know the mirror starts falling off & I push it back in. it looks like the previous owner put some 2 sided tape back there to attempt to keep it on.
When I was replacing my mirror turn signal one of the two metal tabs in the back broke. I fixed it with some epoxy adhesive. There were also low profile tabs in the back that attach to the circular motor. If that's what's broken and you don't have the broken piece to re-attach then a used one or something like this is your best bet:
From what I remember the plastic in the back is securely attached and integrated with the heater pad so if you try to separate it you may damage the heater. I don't see the heater connector on this ebay listing though so make sure you know what you need and are getting.
The mirror started falling off again so I snapped a picture. I honestly don’t know what’s broke or why no matter how many times I push it back on it eventually gets loose & falls down.
