Slow cranking when engine is hot

I noticed that when engine is hot, starter cranks more slowly than when engine is cold. Truck still starts fine, it's just the cranking behavior is quite different. Is this a sign of a starter going bad (or weak)? Behavior depends on the engine/underhood temperature and does not depend on the outside temperature. Battery is fully charged.

Thanks

Do you know how the temperature impacts the starter? I assume it still gets the same voltage from the battery? Is it some relay inside the starter that goes bad, or, perhaps some contacts are getting worn and do not engage properly when hot? Just curious...

Good question, to which I don't know the answer. Something about the brushes developing resistance as they age and with heat?

It's important to get on it, because as the starter worsens, the battery takes the punishment.

I had this problem a few months later and I have replaced the starter but, unfortunately the problem persisted. Then I got the message that both catalyst converters were bad, finally, last week one of the catalyst converters got clogged and the car was unable to start. In order to have the car running, until the new catalyst arrives, I have removed the catalyst core and side that I did not have this problem of slow cranking.
My car has only 52,818 miles, but here in Brazil our petrol has very low quality, this made the catalyst got clogged.
