Does anybody have directions on how to do this? After fighting to get the top cover off the board is still attached to the bottom cover and I'm not able to figure out how to remove it.
Here's a Russian video showing how to take the SAM apart on an ML350. The x164 SAM should not be all that different to disassemble, and I don't think you need to understand Russian. Essentially, you tug on the board, while spreading the clips on each connector:
