I've changed the latch once...I changed the computer near the latch...the pump...I've even changed the rear SAM!
Could this be from hitting the top of the Garage door? Is there an easy fix?

 

I seem to recall another thread about this and the guy had very similar issues to you. I think it was pretty recent, too - check that thread out - there may very well be some info in there that will help you.

Have you had it recalibrated?

FYI, you can adjust the door so it doesn't lift so high to avoid hitting the ceiling. There's info in the manual about it, but I think it's just something like pressing the door button when it gets to the height you need. But, no, I don't think it's from hitting the ceiling - other than maybe somehow that caused it to need to recalibrated.

 

Have you read codes with XENTRY? Seems calibration related.

 

I've problems with my tailgate ever since I got my GL back in 2011. I even had the dealer replace the whole dang door including hydraulics. It didn't help. I still have to open and close it multiple times in order for it to close all the way.
