Navigation CD
Hey guys, sorry for all the dumb questions. I’m really enjoying searching the forum for topics and whatnot, I’m just not finding this particular one.
I picked up my 2008 gl450 a couple weeks ago. It uses (from what I can tell) a cd in the upper slot for navigation. My question is, do they sell updated maps for this and if so, where do I get them? Please no judgement, this is my first car with active navigation

Your GL is equipped with NTG2 (your Command version). The link below will tell you the most recent version of the map applicable to your Command version.

Keep in mind that this version is and will be the last version MB releases for your command system. Unfortunately, I am yet to find a way to tell which version is installed on my vehicle - a 2010 GL (without Xentry DAS, it may not be possible).
It is possible that you may have the most recent version installed, but not know it. If you know of any relatively new real estate developments in your area, see if your map has them already. You could also find (although maybe not very easily) someone selling this version on eBay or Craigslist for a lesser price. If buying from a private seller, I would be careful to get the actual DVDs, and not a copy.
