BMW Alpina wheels and blacked out trim - thoughts?

Sup all!

Was thinking of putting on some BMW alpina wheels (20") with spacers/bolt pattern adapters and then black out the silver door/body trim (because it should make the car look shorter).
Fender flares, adjustable links and painted lower body panels to finish the look.

Any thoughts? Blasphemous to use Alpina wheels?

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
It's hard to visualize without some sort of graphic.

You, know what you're thinking, but can't say yay or nay without any visuals. Perhaps show us the look in some other model or make to give us an idea of what your inspiration is.

I'm a BMW guy, and have always thought Alpina wheels were some of the coolest wheels out there. I think it would look good, but man those things are a PITA to clean.

I think other companies make similar wheels for Mercedes; may want to check there before you go the spacer route. For instance, here: https://www.mandruswheels.com/23-mercedes-wheels.php

Here's a few examples of the Alpina of wheels on BMW SUV's: https://www.reezocar.com/en/search/alpina-xd3.html

Similar effect in the end... but 2007 ML450

Looks good! What do you intend to use to black out the trim. Plastidip?

I was thinking wrap first.. to see if it looks good.
Then if so, remove the wrap and paint it along with the bottom plastic trim pieces (and fender flares) at the same time.
