Rear Passenger Upper Control Arm

I had an alignment by Big O Tires completed on my 2012 GL350 today and I was advised the rear passenger side upper control arm, known also as the “lateral link” was bent. I was told the cost to replace a upper control arm and install a new one would be approximately $260.00.. I’m not really sure how this part got bent but will this damaged part cause premature wear on my rear tire. I had previous issues with inside wear and replaced the tires 3,000 miles ago.
What is the Mercedes part number/cost for the rear passenger side upper control arm/lateral link and is there a quality off brand I can use? What’s the average labor time to install this part?
Thanks

I believe this is the arm you're talking about. Lemfoerder is usually the OEM supplier for these parts aka the same thing the dealer would give you only with the MB star sanded off.

Thank you dhurley for the information.. What would you approximate labor time to install? What is the most common causes for this part to become damage and will a damaged suspension camber strut cause excessive wear on my right rear tire?
Thank

if this was bent, you have other broken things there. i have seen only one of those bent, and it was because the truck managed to hit a boulder the size of a basketball at 70 mph resulting in collapsed airbag and broken lower control arm in the front and bent upper control arm and desintegrated cv joint in the rear.

did you rear get hit by an rpg? no? than it is very unlikely the arm is bent.

I ran over a curb while turning 90 degrees in a parking park. Speed was no more 10mph and that’s why I have a hard believing the suspension camber strut was bent during that incident. I installed new tires 3 months ago and the all wheel alignment was completed then.

Before we get carried away. Are you able to visually check the arm to confirm the tech's suspicion that its bent? GL's wear out the inside edge of the rear tires as it is.

No I haven’t had the damaged confirmed. I’m taking the vehicle to an independent alignment shop next week to confirm any damage to the strut!
