Just got my new GL 550. It´s from year 2009 and only 50k mile´s on clock. Must say I like it. It´s a Japan import and there is on button I can´t figure out, what it is. I haven´t noticed any happening´s when push it. Only light in it changes from red to green. There is a text in the button V.MODE. It´s located with the light switch. The interior of the car seem´s to be original without any extra bling bling part´s so that make´s me wonder more. I haven´t found this button from any operating manual´s so if there is anyone who can help me with my curiosity, I would appreciate.
That's definitely not stock. But the writing sounds like it probably stands for "Valet Mode". Something to do with the security system, I suppose. My guess... "green" = functions as normal, red = security is off. That's just a wild guess, though. Play with it in various scenarios and see what happens.
