What is the "V.Mode" button?
I have an S-550 2008, imported from Japan. To the left of the ashtray, there is a button on its own with "V.Mode" written on it. It lights on/off as you press it. However, I have no idea what it is for, and nothing shows up on the dashboard when you press it. Any ideas what it does? Thanks!

Perhaps you should post a pic so we know what you're talking about.

Hi There,
I'v noted that when this button is in GREEN mode (Orange / Green) fuel consumption is good. i.e. when it is Orange 6 km/l and when it is Green 8 km/l. Yet not sure this has direct relationship with it. Anyways now I'm make sure I turned it in to Green mode when ever I start my car as default is Orange.

Mercedes S350 W220 that I bought in Japan has the same button inside. Basically it allows You to turn on TV while driving (normaly Command won't allow watching TV when engine is running) so when the button is switched to ON (Green light) the TV is on. Check it on Your car and let me know if it''s the same on Yours.
