Error Mercedes Auxiliary Battery
just pull out the main battery and then you’ll have access to the aux batt.
some say that unbolting the passenger front seat makes this much easier - either way, you’ll be wrestling something heavy up and out.
the aux batt maintains keep alive functions and memory settings in various systems, but doesn’t affect lighting or starting. it’s just a backup for when your main batt dies so the car can remember it’s settings when you get a new main batt.
I’ve never seen a code refer directly to it. Usually you have to figure out which battery is dying based on which random under voltage alerts and codes are stored.
i just replaced my aux batt with an aftermarket, bit the original MB I took out was still ok 14 yrs later.
