Hey hope for a DYI fix on the door lock actuator. The driver side rear door lock is sounding like a machine gun every time I go to unlock the door and sometimes I can open the door and sometimes not. I assume the door lock is shot but does anyone have a video or instructions on how to fix/replace? Thank you! 2011 gl450

For the 211 e-class there is a repair kit sold on Ebay that includes small replacement springs to fix this issue. Not sure about the 164 so do some research on it.

First I’ve heard of machine gun door locks in an x164.

it’s a fairly easy diy with the kit referenced above.
