Hello all, first post on here as I've only had the car 4 days, glad to be part of the community.
My question is simple, is it possible to either drop the air matic suspension right down or is it possible to lift up just the front. I need to lower the tow hitch to get my caravan down the drive without the back of the caravan bottoming out on the drive as the wheels move onto the flat Rd. , any help appreciated. thanks in advance.

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
No you’ll need a drop hitch.

The only adjustment to the air suspension is to raise it, unless you have ADS which enables you to lower it an inch.

Under normal circumstances, no, there is no way to do that. There could be a way to do it via the Mercedes STAR software (computer scan/programmer), but I'd have to let someone more knowledgeable than me answer that. Aside from switching draw bars... You could just put a piece or 2 or 2x lumber in the "valley', though. Or... some boat trailers use a 12" roller mounted on the underside of the rear-most crossmember for this purpose - something to consider.
