Hi I have a GL 450 2012 I’m scheduled to do service b I have almost 85,000 miles It’s been about almost 3 years since I changed The brake fluid should I do it how important is this could anyone give me some advice thanks

Open the cap on the fluid and draw a bit out with a pipette or a turkey baster. If it's yellow or brownish, then absolutely replace it. If it's still nice and clear, you're likely OK, but remember that brake fluid is hygroscopic (it attracts water.) The water in the lines and calipers can rust things from the inside out if it gets bad enough.
It's a 30 minute job (OK, an hour if you're a newbie) and costs $10. I don't know why you wouldn't do it.

MOTIVE makes a fairly inexpensive kit. I do all my vehicles every 3 years, it keeps my OCD in check. Once you know what to do, the job can be completed on about 45 min.
