GL 320 CDI 2007
Hi,
My car has recently increased the Idle RPM from 650 RPM to 950 RPM. I noticed it dropped down to 650 RPM when I switched off the air condition. I have tried this several times and the results is the same. When I am running the heating system the RPM stays low at 650 RPM.
The cooling when running the air condition is working fine.
Regards

Yup - that's normal - the amount you've noticed seems to roughly jive with what I've noticed. Heat will do it, too - but you'll need the AC button on... which I believe means "recirc" when in heat mode?... something like that, anyways.

Thank you. I have had the car for over ten years so it is strange that I noticed this change now. However it might just be that I have overseen this, but I will just pay attention to it and look for trends.
I had the car for a B service in March and nothing was mentioned about this there, still I find it difficult to understand that there are no RPM standard for the AC running other than it will increase.
