Are there Mercedes jack stand pads that fit into the side holes for stands, not a jack

So I have several 3 ton jack stands, but the aren't round and flat at the top, they have that curved C type shape.

I'm buying a couple of these in case I ever need to jack the car up on the side, as I have a few flat attachments I can use with my jack so this would sit flush:
Amazon Amazon

But...my jack stands look like this: https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/c35...b39be0270.jpeg and I never feel great placing them on the sides of the car in those jack points because it slightly dents them due to not having the correct insert/pads.

Do I need to buy jack stands that are round at the top, or is there an attachment for this that would work...cause I can't find it.

I also own these little jack stand adaptors but they aren't meant for that spot https://www.subaruoutback.org/cdn-cg...ds-jpg.470627/

Your standard jack stand c-cups should fit nicely across the middle of jack pads that should be attached on each corner of your car.

As is often the case, if you’re missing your mbs jack pads a 4” piece of 2x4 with the grain running perpendicular to the standard stand c-cup will suffice.

eh....in my experience thus far, I can go wide across the center of the jack pads....except it begins to dent in the sides of the 'hole' a bit. I'd rather not do that.

One thing I may try once I receive my pads with the rectangle insert is to place them on top of the jack stand c-cup pad (the lower pad in the picture). The top pad (round) is just for display purposes meant to represent the new ones I'd receive with the rectangle insert. Will have to jack the car up a few more inches but should be a snug fit and I think there is enough surface area between the top and middle pads together to not warrant any slipping concern.

I don't want to come off as a smart ***, but the more stuff you stack up like that, the more dangerous it gets. It is more prone to tipping like that. If you are wrenching underneath and are pulling the car side to side laterally especially.

I would certainly not feel safe doing that.

No that is fair.

So the only true way for me to use the correct adaptor meant for the jack pads is a stand that has a round top and not these c-cups, yes?

I lift the GL using the rubber pads. I picked up an adapter for MB cars from Amazon which slots into the rubber pad and lays flat on the hydraulic jack. I use similar stands like yours to support the weight of the car. In the rear I use the hitch or the cross member which is just past the rear dif, IIRC. In the front, I use the curve just behind the ball joint on the lower control arm most of the time. If you are taking the arm off, that is not a good spot, obviously.

Avoid putting pressure on any bushings directly with the stand or jack. You risk ruining them.

That's OK. They're there to be deformed, and they are r/r'able.
The more stacking of lifting pucks etc you do, you increase the risk of one of them sliding.
