I like to use the genuine Mercedes plugs. It's probably very safe to use Bosch since they're what Mercedes uses anyway, but with free replacements from FCP and a low shipping weight, it's a no-brainer for me. Same story for the oil filter, as a matter of fact. Then you know you're getting just the right plug. I wouldn't bother trying anything other than those because it won't yield any benefit and runs a high risk of the engine performing worse (possibly by a great amount).
Oil seems to be a personal preference, but a lot of people around here prefer Mobil 1 European Formula since it meets the spec put forth by Mercedes. I can get the 12 qt. box at the Wally World near me for around $50 which is hard to beat! Liqui Moly is also a safe bet and well regarded as well.
