I personally dont own a MB (although I did have a 1985 380sl hardtop convertible) It was a good car, bit heavy LOL, but fun non the less.
I joined your group as a good freind of mine wants me to install a remote start in his 2008 GL450. Not a lot of information out there on what type of unit would be easist to install. He is looking for something fairly inexpensive. Ive done many remote starts in the past without issues, (mostly GM, Ford , and a few Jap cars. Any suggestions or pointers to scematics , install tips ect.. ?
Thanks in advance , looking forward to a great forum !

Fairly inexpensive and easiest to install combined with Mercedes don't jive often. midcityengineering.com makes a remote starter designed for the car with harnesses and accessories. How many and which accessories you add to your solution is up to you. For a 2008 vintage, I think you will have to sacrifice one of the fobs too. As in leave it in the car.
If you're looking for a generic starter to adapt to the car, not sure anyone here has done it. I would be interested to hear it, though.
