GL CDi wont start

This morning when I left for work the GL turned off and then it started and brought it back and parked her right away. So after I got home from work it wont start at all. Ran Xentry and I get the below codes. I cleared them and still wont start. It cranks but wont start. The codes wont come back either. Seems like I have fuel issues. Thanks in advance for your input.

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
If the code was Current prior to clearing and you still have a no start condition, you very likely still have an active fuel rail low pressure condition.

so ask yourself why.

If it were to sputter to life that code would pop again.

I tried again ran for 5 sec and died right away. I did fuel pump actuation to ensure that I dont have a bad relay or burned fuse and the fuel pump engaged. So something is up on the front.

Have you replaced the filter?
gelled fuel in the cold may have clogged it.
not sure if the CDI has a schrader valve on the rail to check output, but if there is none then I’d look at the filter in The Valley.

I definitely believe the cold has something to do with it. Its been -6 and below with windchill of -20 in the Quad Cities.

Last time I replaced the filter was around 35k miles ago.

I got the filter out. Should air be able to move freely throught the fuel lines? The smaller i blow air and it goes through. And the bigger air doesnt go through?

Indicative of a moving block of some sort. Low pressure air not enough to seal the pipe, but high pressure air on one side forced the blockage into a restriction and seals it. Depends on what line though - be careful where you apply pressure air, but if you can; try a gentle see reverse blow the line.

As Max Blast suggested, gelled fuel could very well be the issue, especially given temps you mention above.
I had similar issue a few years ago while up in VT with our 2011 GL350 Bluetec , was just below 0 outside and when went to start would just turn over and nothing. Had car moved to a garage for a couple of hours and started up afterwards.

Hope this helps.

Make sure that you have fuel delivery. I had "low fuel pressure" code when my fuel pump went out last summer.

Hello all,

Finally today after it got warmer I was able to further troubleshoot the no start issue. I ensured that fuel was being delivered from the pump, and I came to a conclusion that indeed it was the fuel filter that was clogged up.

Called up stealership and it was $256 for a freaking filter. So went to autozone and they had it for $51. I installed the fuel filter and it started right up. I did purge the filter with half a quart of anti-gel and diesel fuel cetane booster.
No codes and no check engine light. Truck is running great.

Thank you all for your input and all the help.
