I uber flushed the coolant system 4 times. Separately flushed the heater core, perfect flow. Replaced the heater control valve as everyone said. Still only works when I set it to 76 or above. I do see where the rear heater core I believe had leaked, but they got it replaced. Wanna drag that out verify and flush, but looks like it’s gonna be a …. 1 owner well to do family helicopter parented it at the dealership, so don’t think anything funky was done.
Heater core isn’t leaking. Again didn’t see any Gold Schlager in the coolant. I had the heater core (or rather the 2nd radiator! Jesus…) and was about to tear apart the car, but by the grace of god no leak at all! I put paper towels down everywhere to catch any sign of a leak. I didn’t see any coming out of the evp drains so don’t think it’s leaking and just draining there either. I’m at a total loss….
These vehicles have an electric auxiliary water pump that is the chief driver of coolant to the heater. You can search the forum here for more information on this.
