I have 3 kids, and only 2 pairs of headphones for the Rear Seat Entertainment system in my 2013 x166 GL 550. I bought a 3rd pair of headphones on eBay (Part No: A222 820 1889) identical to the existing OEM pairs, but can't find instructions on how to pair / program the new headphones to my infotainment system.
I took the car to the dealer and they said that they couldn't figure out how to pair / program the new headphones to infotainment system (gosh, really?). Now I am trying to figure out how to do it myself.
I found this article which explains that in some NTG infotainment systems there's a "dealer" menu in which a new set of headphones can be paired / programmed. I don't seem to have the same version of the NTG system (mine is v4.7) and have thus far been unable to locate a "dealer" menu (though I know of the engineering menu, which does't seem to have the same options).
I also found a YouTube video (screenshot below) that implies that the pairing / programming can be done through the Xentry software (I don't have access to this, and with a $37k price tag I won't be buying it anytime soon). Anyone know if there's an easier way to pair / program the headphones?

You should post this in the x166 forum. The x164s are older NTG versions and might not have this menu. I'd also look for an indy shop in your area who are good with MB cars to help you with programming. Dealers aren't the best available bet sometimes. Xentry clones are available for much much less than 37k.
