rearview mirror won't adjust
I've had the 2 pieces on my rearview mirror broken for so long and I finally got them fixed but now when I attempt to adjust my rearview mirror it keeps running into the pieces...
I thought it was just my car but I seen another car at the junk yard and the same thing happened.

Can you be more descriptive? I'm not sure I understand... rearview mirrors are adjusted by hand - I don't get what it could be "running into" and also what "two pieces" you're talking about.

none at all? I’m short so the seat is closer to the front…when I attempt to tilt the mirror down it hits the trim. I don’t know how it can be in wrong

No, none at all. Full range of motion. Must not be installed correctly. The plastic should be close to touching the windshield - I didn't measure, but I'd say 1/16" to 1/8".

I haven't done this myself, but I imagine you would need to pop the mirror out to get to the tabs. There are videos online on how to do that. If you live in a cold climate, keep in mind that plastic is brittle in lower temps.
