Replacement Parking Lamp Bulb

I have a 2012 GL350 and this is the 2nd time I’ve had to replace the parking light lamp on my vehicle within a year.
What bulb is best for this application and is there a LED replacement bulb?

Front or rear? I replaced one front. Went with incandescent as I prefer the yellow hue on those. Better for wet/foggy weather than the white/blue stuff. There is a thread here about LED lights, I think it might be in the W164 forum. Several bulbs were tried for different purposes, some worked, others not. It would be a good source of info. I used it for reference myself.

It's a real PIA to change that blub. I think the bumper cover has to come off.

The front passenger right bulb burnt out in less than a year so I’m going to replace both front parking lamps once again.

I replaced mine with LED. Works great, but I had to install a 100 Ohm resistor in parallel in order to not trigger the bulb errors.

You are talking about the small lights inboard of the headlights, right?

I recently replaced both of mine with Sylvania ZEVO LED bulbs. It was tight but I got both done in 10 mins in my driveway. These special needle nose pliers helped a lot.

If I recall correctly, if you're sitting in the car as if your driving - turn the bulb holder counter-clockwise to release them.

Oh, I specifically replied to mention they were perfect fit. No modifications needed. Errors went away immediately. Should last for many years. 👍👍

I bought some LED bulbs to replace mines and I couldn't get the bulbs out even looking at various videos on youtube as I couldn't get my hands in nor turn the housing with a flat head so I'll be ordering a pair of those pliers once I find somewhere in the UK that sells them.
