Well one side is done along with sway bar. I am waiting for bolts for PS Bushings and other strut to complete the other side. Then I can get an alignment.

Well I was worried this would happen. When I tried to hammer out my driveshaft I damaged the wheel bearing. I ordered a cheap one from Amazon, but didn't know when it would arrive today so I just went and picked up one from the dealer.
I get home this AM from dealer and Amazon already delivered. Interestingly there is a noticeable difference in weight between the two. It certainly seems like a good idea to stick with MB wheel bearings.

Eh, stick with OEM. The bearings are directional and need to be installed one way to allow the proper function of the magnetic reluctor for the ESP and ABS.
Plenty of risk of chinesium not having this function and future aggravation when you’re all buttoned up and your abs is going nuts.

I hope those guys get it right putting it in. I thought about renting or investing in tools to do it myself, but wife is getting jealous how much time I am spending with Cede. (pronouced Sadie in our home)

I will have it all back together today. The PS bushings were good. (I spent an hour looking for the strut control bolt. It rolled away.)
Overall all of the bushings looked good, but all ball joints certainly were loose-ish but looked fine. New shocks and struts should help.
I still need to replace the rear struts and change the idler pulleys with the FCP Euro kit.

I am thinking it might be that. I got the GL550 after a Q7 and it certainly didn't drive as car like, but lately I have felt the GL550 has been driving like a pickup. I will be curious if the suspension refresh changes that.

It’s either a bearing that isn’t even compatible with your car because it’s cheap Chinesium, or they put it in the wrong way, and messed it up in the process. get OEM.

I am guessing it was installed wrong way since ABS doesn't work either. I drove it around the block and it made all kinds of noise and ABS lights were on.
The bearing was OEM that I picked up at the dealer. I had Amazon cheap one ordered at same time.
It is WJB brand. In the box it weighs 2.4lbs. (comes with install instructions on directly install)
The OEM one weighs 3.4lbs in the box. (no instructions)
Visually they look the same.

You’d have a tough time overtorquing it without power tools. Did you follow the torque spec for the bearing? Mine got ruined because I didn’t torque it enough, which was already super tight. Agree that it was probably backwards. Go back and have them do it again at their expense. It’s a pretty stupid thing for a shop to flub

Well it is back together and I have put about 20 miles on it.
Nothing was bad or ready to fail, but replacing everything up front and rear shocks did firm up everything nicely. I am thinking I might replace the rear sway bar end links at some point based on how the front ones felt.

Well I am ditching the chinese rear shocks after a week. When I floor it I am feel excessive weight transfer to rear and they seem to be nosier to boot. I ordered up Bilsteins at Rock Auto. I will put in new rear sway bar end links when inswap in the new struts next week.
I looked at Arnnott, but figure I will just go with the name a trust. I spent enough time trying to get my suspension setup right on track cars so I might be more sensitive then most.

The Bilstein's are worlds better in the back. If I was doing everything all over I probably wouldn't have replaced on bushings and endlinks up front and just went with Bilstein sturts all around.
